FAQ

HOW MUCH DO SESSIONS COST?

Sessions for individuals are $150 and sessions for couples are $175.

WHAT IF I CAN'T AFFORD THAT?

Occasionally I am able to offer a lower fee based on financial need. Please inquire if this applies to you. If those time slots are full, I will be happy to provide you with referrals for sliding scale therapy.

WHAT PAYMENT TYPES DO YOU ACCEPT? WHAT ABOUT INSURANCE?

Payments may be made by cash, check or credit card. For virtual sessions, I require a credit card, which I process on a weekly basis through a HIPAA-Compliant system called Ivy Pay. You will receive a text or email notifications via email or text after each session. I request payment at the end of each session.

I am out of network and do not directly bill insurance, but I do offer a superbill on a monthly basis which you can submit to your insurance company in case they offer reimbursement.

HOW LONG Are Sessions? How often Would We Meet?

Sessions last 50 to 60 minutes. Ideally, we would meet once a week. Depending on your goals and symptoms, we may decide to meet more or less than that.

HOW LONG WILL THERAPY LAST?

This depends on the severity of the issue you're facing as well as your goals for treatment. Therapy can last from several sessions to months to years. I am happy to discuss this with you after our first few sessions to give you an estimate.

I AM NOT SURE And/Or My Partner isn’t sure ABOUT THE IDEA OF THERAPY. ANY ADVICE TO EASE MY MIND?

Beginning therapy can be scary and anxiety-provoking for some. It is understandable that you might be nervous about the process. Please discuss your concerns when you contact me so we can address them.  If your partner is nervous about the process please encourage them to call/text/email me in advance to discuss their concerns. I do not take sides and I do not blame. My goal is to encourage healthy communication. Couples therapy works best when both parties are invested in the process.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I NEED TO CANCEL?

It happens. I request that cancellations be made 24 hours before your appointment.

DO YOU OFFER IN OFFICE OR Virtual Therapy?

As of July, I am no longer accepting new client. Please check back in a month or two. Please feel free to contact me for referrals.

WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT AT MY FIRST APPOINTMENT?

We will get to know each other and decide if we are a good fit.  I will ask some basic questions about your background and goals for therapy and answer any questions you may have about me and/or the therapy process. Then, we will discuss a plan for treatment.
